Labour Minister, UN special rapporteur debated Kazakh social welfare system

ASTANA. September 14. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh Labour and Social Protection Minister of Kazakhstan Gulshara Abdykalikova met with visiting UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Education Kishore Singh in Astana.

The Kazakh Minister briefed on the country's social welfare system. They debated the current situation of children with disabilities, provision of equal rights to men and women, and prospects for the development of Kazakhstan's social sphere.

Following the results of his visit to Kazakhstan, Mr Singh will prepare a report on the recommendations how to strengthen the education system from the viewpoint of human rights and further promotion of rights to education. The report will be submitted to the UN Human Rights Council next June.
