Kyzylorda region performed first kidney transplant

KYZYLORDA. KAZINFORM The Kyzylorda region doctors have performed the first donor kidney transplant.

It is the fourth region of Kazakhstan to perform kidney transplantations. The Syzganov National Scientific Centre surgeons trained specialists of the Kyzylorda region. The first surgery was a success, the boy received a kidney donation from his sister. As earlier reported, the Kyzylorda regional akimat (local administration) and the Syzganov National Scientific Centre entered into cooperation to settle urgent healthcare problems of the region. There are some 100 people suffering from kidney diseases and the third of them need kidney transplant.
