Kyrgyzstan to extradite suspect in Ile-Alatau national park massacre to Kazakhstan

BAKU. July 12. KAZINFORM Kyrgyzstan will extradite Sayan Hayrov suspected of committing the massacre in the Kazakh Ile-Alatau National Park to Kazakhstan, Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbaev said on Friday at the meeting of the General Prosecutor's Office, the Prosecutor's Office reported.

"The close cooperation of the CIS countries in current year ensured the satisfaction of a claim against Hayrov, who is wanted for a terrorist attack in the Ile-Alatau National Park," Daulbayev said.

Twelve people were found killed in the Aksai Gorge of Ili-Alatau park in August 2012. They all died from multiple stab wounds. Well-known forest ranger Panayot Zaharopulo, his family members and employees of the park were among the dead. According to the Interior Ministry, the crime was committed by members of religious extremist group, Kazinform refers to trend.az.
