Kurmangazy monument to be unveiled in Astana

ASTANA. June 12. KAZINFORM The unveiling ceremony of the monument to Kurmangazy will be an important part of celebration of the 14th anniversary of Kazakhstan's capital.

The monument was created by sculptor Assan Moldabayev. This is not his first work, he has already contributed to design of the ethno park in Karaganda.

The 10-meter high monument to Kurmangazy will be erected near Duman Hotel in Astana.

Kurmangazy is a Kazakh national musician, composer, and dombra player. He started playing dombra when he was a little child.
