Knowledge-based economy is «cornerstone» of President’s Address - former Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan

BEIJING. January 22. KAZINFORM - Creating a knowledge-based economy is the "cornerstone " of the Kazakhstan President's state-to-the-nation Address, said former Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Yao Peisheng.

According to the diplomat the President's Address is a concrete program of action for implementation in Kazakhstan a knowledge-based economical model. "Creating a new high-tech economical sectors is the development trend of the world economy. Today, China goes along the road for creating innovative economy", said Yao Peisheng.

"Creating agglomerations in Kazakhstan and building of roads are the issues of high importance", noted ex-Ambassador.

"President Nazarbayev told about enhancement of logistics services sector noting that Kazakhstan has an advantageous location between Europe and Asia. "Western Europe - Western Asia" transcontinental corridor's completion and exit to the port of Lianyungang in the Pacific Ocean will extend logistics and transit potential of Kazakhstan", said the Chinese diplomat.

"Kazakhstan is a leader among the countries of Central Asia. China welcomes the initiatives of Kazakhstan and hopes that Kazakhstan will play an even greater role in the region", concluded Yao Peisheng.
