Kazatomprom funds theft suspect arrested

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Financial police have arrested a businessman Rozmat Alibekov on suspicion of "Kazatomprom" National Company" JSC funds theft.

vMarch 15, 2014, Financial police officers detained the director of "Syrdarija - zhoba Kurylys" Rozmat Alibekov. He was accused of embezzling funds of "Kazatomprom" National Company" JSC which amounted to KZT 1.3 billion. The money was allocated to Kazatomprom contracting entity owned by Alibekov. Police did not disclose other information in the interests of the investigation.
