ASTANA. February 10. KAZINFORM. /Zhanna Korkitova/ "Kazakhstan has a political will to join the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities," Head of the OSCE Center in Kazakhstan Alexander Kelchevsky told journalists during the international conference "Equal opportunities for all: integration of women with disabilities into the society".

"Your country has signed the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Optional Protocol to the Convention. But they are not ratified yet. Presently, we are at the preparation stage working on steps which will let your country carry this document into practice. It means Kazakhstan has a political will and intention to join the international documents and work further. It is necessary to move forward to pass from ratification of the Convention to its immediate implementation," Kelchevsky said.
