Kazakhstan to propose investors visa-free regime

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan suggests taking further steps in an effort to improve the country's investment climate," Economy and Budget Planning Minister Yerbolat Dossayev said today in Astana.

"It is expected to introduce unilaterally visa-free regime for the nationals of the most developed countries for a maximum of 90 days and grant investors' visas for heads of structural units of foreign companies," he added. "Besides, it is supposed to increase the term of agricultural land lease for the foreigners if they invest into commercial agriculture there and consider an issue on introducing the institute for the protection of investors on the principle of "an investment ombudsman", he added.
