Kazakhstan to pay special attention to issues of employment of people with disabilities - T. Duissenova

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan will pay special attention to the issues of employment of the people with disabilities, Minister of Healthcare and Social Development of Kazakhstan Tamara Duissenova told at the enlarged sitting of the ministry.

According to her, the plans on ensuring all the facilities can be accessed by the people with disabilities are approved in all the regions of the country. 24.4 thousand facilities have been issued certificates.

Special attention is paid to employment of the people with disabilities. Presently, 89 thousand people of the total number of 280 thousand handicapped people living in the country are employed. Last year, 5.6 thousand people with disabilities became participants of the Employment-2020 Program.

She also reminded that Kazakhstan ratified the convention on the rights of disabled people and the draft law with the some amendments in the sphere was developed and submitted for the consideration of the Majilis of the Parliament.
