Kazakhstan to introduce PIAAC

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan is set to introduce the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) in the nearest future.

"One of the directions of our cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is the sphere of education and science. Currently, we implement a number of projects on assessment of students' achievements, such as PISA, TIMSS," Vice Minister of Education and Science Takhir Balykbayev told the journalists in the Akorda presidential residence. "Plus, this year we will introduce the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) in Kazakhstan," he added.
