Kazakhstan to hold 30 cultural events to mark 20th anniversary of independence

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM. "In the tideway of celebrating the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence it is planned to hold 30 cultural events," Secretary of State-Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev told at the meeting chaired by President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

It is scheduled to host above 30 cultural events, including solemn concerts in honor of the International Women's Day, Nauryz Meiramy, the Capital's Day and Day of Constitution. A solemn concert marking the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence will become a high point of celebrations. Besides, a range of exhibitions will take place. The Culture Ministry announces contests for writing pieces of music and art devoted to the independence. The results will be summed up by the year-end.
