ASTANA. January 28. KAZINFORM. In the current year there are good grain export prospects for Kazakhstan, stated last week Karim Masimov, the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to him, by the end of 2011 the new railway lines open, and such step will allow to export grains through Turkmenistan to the Persian Gulf region. As a result, Kazakh grains will become competitive in all the countries of the Near East, due to the fact there will not be the necessity to transport grains through the Baltic ports, and then by sea, suffering large-scale transport costs.

All the way from the port Bayneu (Aktau) to the Persian Gulf takes about 12 hours, noted K.Masimov, Kazinform cites APK-Inform Information Agency.
