Kazakhstan to complete construction of ‘Western Europe - Western China’ in 2016

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The completion of the Kazakhstan's section of the international motor road corridor "Western Europe - Western China" is scheduled for 2016, this has been informed by the chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security of the Majilis Maulen Ashimbayev during the 8th Astana Economic Forum.

"Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development of major transport corridors connecting China and Europe," said M.Ashimbayev. According to his words, 2,700 kilometers of the corridor runs through the territory of Kazakhstan. The construction of the Kazakh section of the motor road will be completed next year. The transcontinental corridor would allow China to deliver goods to Europe within 10 days.
