Kazakhstan starts its electric supplies to Kyrgyzstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan has started its electric supplies to Kyrgyzstan on December 1, Samruk Energo JSC said.

The Baturov Zhambyl GRES, an affiliate of Samruk Energo JSC, generates 230 MW of electric power to cover energy needs of Kyrgyzstan electric system. It will delver electric power up to 1bln kWh until March, 2015. Electric supply issues were debated during a state visit of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev paid to Kazakhstan November 7 this year. Following he results of the meeting Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said about a decision to render assistance to Kyrgyzstan.
