ASTANA. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan stands for expansion of the UN presence in the country," Kazakh Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov said.

"We gather every year on October 24 to celebrate the UN Day and we have the common development goal - for the sake of peace. We all wish the better life for future generations. The Kazakh Government and the people of our country also voice support to these challenging goals. We want to see the US presence expansion in Kazakhstan and more result-oriented approaches. We hope that Almaty will become the true UN hub for its regional activities," Idrissov told a roundtable themed "The UN and Kazakhstan: 2015 and after - looking into the future". According to him, Central Asia for many reasons requires more UN attention.
