ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's political prestige in Europe is growing stably, according to Foreign Minister Erlan Idrissov.

The head of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry made remarks at a press conference at KazMedia Center on Friday. "Kazakhstan's political prestige in Europe is growing stably. Recent visits of such European leaders as French President Francois Hollande, Swiss President Didier Burkhalter and others prove that," Minister Idrissov told the press conference. He also added that Europe is a large trade partner of Kazakhstan. "50% or nearly $55 billion dollars fall on our mutual trade with the European Union member countries. Almost 50% of direct foreign investments come to Kazakhstan from Europe," E. Idrissov noted. The Kazakh Foreign Minister also stressed that Kazakhstan will further promote cooperation with the EU.
