KAZINFORM. /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The nationwide support of the idea on holding a referendum to extend the President's terms illustrated to the full that the Kazakh society appraised significance of keeping to the course set by the Head of State, first of all, in the sphere of economical advancement.

Last year under the Forced Industrial and Innovation Development Program for 2010-2014 there were put into practice about 152 projects worth KZT 801.8bln. 24 000 permanent jobs were created. About 800 new production works were built. The country observed the process of vigor rehabilitation and development of chemical and light industry.

Unlike the previous industrial development programs the new one is being realized on the ground of the Kazakhstan Industrialization Map. It suggests that industrial siting should be closely tied to sources of raw materials, infrastructure and sales markets, availability of human resources and other factors which have an impact on competitive capacity of enterprises. The regions elaborated their own industrialization maps inter-related with the state-run program. The state funds enterprises and, in case of need, builds engineering and transport infrastructure. Thus, business initiative supported by state assistance is the guarantee of successful activity of the productions built up.

Last December delivering a speech Nursultan Nazarbayev highlighted the importance of this program for future development of the country. "If we do not want to lag behind we must fulfill the program," the President said.

Realization of a range of industrial projects produces a significant multiplier effect - small and medium business procure orders for new production works, create additional employment. Thanks to industrial charts small and medium enterprises what industrial projects, when and where will be realized. It lets them plan their activities and expand productions.

From the very beginning the industrialization is expected not to be confined to realization of large projects only for small and medium business lay the foundation for economic development. The World Bank highly appraised the economic development efforts of Kazakhstan.

The main outcome of the first year of the industrial five-year plan is the start of deep structural changes in the economic growth on the account of the real economy, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said in the State-of-the-Nation Address.

The 2010 economic development results demonstrate what changes the country's economy underwent. Manufacturing output increased by 10%, processing industry outturn grew by 19%.

Creation of the Customs Union also promotes the State Industrial and Innovation Development Program for the markets of Russia and Belarus are open for Kazakhstan.

"New principles of the innovation development of economy set new tasks. Kazakhstan's business should become an active player of international trade. First all we should make the most use of the CU potential and potential of other growing markets, including China. And only then we will move closer to the time when the brand "Made in Kazakhstan" will be regarded as the high-quality mark," Nursultan Nazarbayev told during the presentation of projects of the industrial and innovation program.

In 2012 Single Economic Space is supposed to offer even greater opportunities for Kazakh industry and agricultural sector. 17 agreements were signed last to form legal framework for the Single Economic Space.

The core targets of the program are as followed: economic diversification, extension of Kazakhstan's content, multiplier opportunities for SMB, non-oil and gas export capacity building, transition to the economy of future with high-quality productions.
