Kazakhstan partakes in «Arabian Travel Market» tourism exhibition in Dubai

ABU DHABI. May 6. KAZINFORM. Kazakhstan delegation will be represented today at the opening of a prestigious tourist exhibition titled «Arabian travel market» in Dubai (UAE).

This year the leading trade fair of the tourism industry in the Middle East is preparing to celebrate its twentieth anniversary and intends to involve more than 2,500 companies from 87 countries including those from Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan will be represented by the members of the Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the number of domestic tourist companies.

Speaking before the opening of the event Mark Walsh, the Director of «Reed Travel Exhibitions» stressed that the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) had given a positive forecast for the development of the tourism industry in the Middle East region in 2013.

"Regional tourism map is now incredibly diverse; the sector has brought USD 76.6 billion. (Dollars) of profit to gross domestic product (GDP) in 2013 which is predicted by experts to make the growth of the industry by 4.2%. In addition, the region has got a steady flow of investment into the tourism industry and infrastructure", said M.Walsh.

The main leaders of tourism in the Middle East are considered to be the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman.

Traditionally the «Arabian travel market» is organized under the personal patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of the Dubai Emirate. Tourism Exhibition runs until May 9 and will be held at the exhibition center in the Dubai city.
