ASTANA-TARAZ. September 5. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan is in desperate need for engineers rather than layers or economists", President Nazarbayev stressed in his interactive lecture at the Nazarbayev University on Wednesday.

Speaking of high level of the domestic education, achieved throughout the years of independence, the Head of State noted the country needed specialists with engineering background and education.

"We need more engineers for industrialization that we are now implementing," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

"Kazakhstan already feels lack of engineers, doctors, chemists, and biologists," the Kazakh Leader stressed.

"Right now we are modernizing the system of vocational education in the country and trying to bring it in sync with the international standards," President Nazarbayev added.
