Kazakhstan keen to cooperate with Russia: business forum in Pavlodar
The Kazakhstan Development Bank with the support of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies organized the business event prior to the IX Interregional Cooperation Forum between Russia and Kazakhstan which is due to kick off on Wednesday in Pavlodar.
"Mutually profitable cooperation between our countries is the key to increasing prosperity of our regions," Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Kairat Kelimbetov said in his opening speech at the forum.
"Today's forum is considered to be one more step closer to the mutually beneficial integration," Asset Issekeshev, Industry and New Technologies Minister, said at the event. "The Kazakhstani-Russian sales turnover made 23.8 US dollars. The volume of Russian investments into Kazakhstan over the last three years has climbed up for 30 per cent, making 5 billion US dollars. The key areas of investment are insurance, construction, mining and processing industry. Today we are going to sign the agreement on the realization of 11 projects worth 2 billion. Kazakhstan is keen to create joint ventures with Russia," he added.
