ASTANA-ISTANBUL. November 2. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan is for Afghanistan to have an access to international markets through the Western Europe-Western China transport corridor, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov stated at the Istanbul Conference on Afghanistan on Wednesday.

"Kazakhstan is for Afghanistan to have an access to international markets including through the Western Europe-Western China transport corridor - in which Kazakhstan has invested approximately three billion US dollars," he said.

According to him, Afghanistan is a top priority of Kazakhstan's Chairmanship in the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation since June this year.

"We have ensured adoption of a special resolution of all 57 participating states to continue assisting Afghanistan at the ministerial meeting in Astana on June 30 and recent opening of the Permanent Mission of the OIC in Kabul," Kazykhanov reminded.
