ASTANA. June 11. KAZINFORM His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia sent a letter to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In the letter Patriarch Kirill thanked the Head of State for cordial and friendly reception in Kazakhstan. He also noted the importance of constant attention Nursultan Nazarbayev attached to the spiritual needs of the peoples of Kazakhstan, presidential press service says.

"I have gladly participated in the session of the Religious Leaders' Council and the closing ceremony of the 4th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. I am confident that this format of dialogue will contribute to creation of the atmosphere of mutual understanding between the representatives of various religious communities," the letter reads.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill also emphasized that Kazakhstan was an example of harmonious and peaceful co-existence of many nationalities representing various religious traditions.

In the conclusion Patriarch Kirill wished the Kazakh leader good health, wellbeing and success and people of Kazakhstan - peace and prosperity.
