Kazakhstan establishes diplomatic relations with Belize

ASTANA. November 11. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's Embassy in Washington, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kairat Umarov in the United States and the U.S. Ambassador to Belize Nestor Mendez on November 7, 2013 signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries, the press service of the Foreign Ministry says.

The parties confirmed their interest in strengthening friendly relations between two countries and development of bilateral political, economic and cultural cooperation. Foreign diplomat has expressed interest in establishing collaboration with Kazakhstan in the sphere of energy and ecotourism.

The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan is working on development of cooperation with Latin American countries to strengthen mutual activity in the international arena, including in the framework of the United Nations.

Belize is a country located in the north-eastern part of Central America. The main sectors of the economy of Belize are agriculture, tourism and services. The country exports sugar cane, bananas, citrus, clothing, seafood and wood.
