Kazakhstan elected to UN Human Rights Council Bureau

ASTANA . KAZINFORM Members of the Asia-Pacific Regional Group of the UN Human Rights Council unanimously voted for Kazakhstan's candidacy to the UN Human Rights Council Bureau for 2015, the Kazakh MFA's press service said. The meeting took place in Geneva.

The UN Human Rights Council unites 47 countries responsible for promoting and protecting human rights around the world.

Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to Geneva will assume office of the vice president of the UN Human Rights Council next January 1.
