Kazakhstan-China cargo traffic to increase up to 24 mln tons by 2018

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "It is planned to increase cargo traffic between the country and China up to 24 mln tons by 2018," Investments and Development Minister of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said on Wednesday.

"We shortened the road with China by rail by 1,000 km so far and plan to attract 24 mln tons of cargo," he said a conference themed "Eurasian transport integration beyond energy - new cooperation for the new world: between geopolitical challenges, business opportunities and future prospects". "The five-year plan sets a task to solve transport and logistics barrier problems. Now we work at online customs filling to let cargo pass quickly across the borders," he added.
