Charge d'Affaires of Kazakhstan Temirtay Izbastin told about the socio-economic and political development of our country, revealing the main provisions of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev's address to the people of Kazakhstan "Socio-economic modernization - the main vector of development of Kazakhstan." It was noted that the goals and objectives set by the Head of State in his address are aimed at increasing people's welfare. Speaking about the economic and investment climate in Kazakhstan, he explained the benefits of the Single Economic Space.

Representatives of the Bulgarian Parliament were told about the important international activities involving Kazakhstan. In particular, the head of the diplomatic mission noted Kazakhstan's initiative on nuclear security, the idea of ​​President Nazarbayev "G global", the upcoming Astana Economic Forum and the IV Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, the implementation of Astana initiative "Green Bridge" and Astana's application to host the international specialized exhibition Expo-2017.

The parties congratulated each other on the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The volume of bilateral trade in 2011 amounted to USD 512 million, which is 2 times more than at the same period in 2010 (USD 253 million). Bulgarian MPs expressed their willingness to promote trade and investment cooperation. They praised the socio-economic transformation and the international prestige of Kazakhstan, expressing confidence in the strengthening of the Kazakh-Bulgarian relations.
