Kazakhstan, Austria to touch upon trade and economic coop

ASTANA. September 3. KAZINFORM The 4th session of the Kazakh-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Commercial and Economic Cooperation will take place on September 4 in Astana.

At the session Kazakhstan will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexey Volkov, Deputy Federal Minister of Economy, Family and Youth of Austria Bernadette Gierlinger is expected to represent her country, according to the Kazakh MFA's press service.

The sides are expected to concentrate on a wide range of issues and cooperation in such spheres as energy, environmental protection and ecological technologies, transport and infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, finance and banking, health protection and medical equipment, e-government and SME development, possible direct flights Vienna-Astana-Vienna and cooperation between oil businesses.

The sales turnover between Kazakhstan and Austria in 2011 amounted to USD 4 billion.
