KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhmys Corporation decided to pay compensation to the families of employees killed in AN-2 plane crash, the press service of the company reports.

According to the collective agreement between the employer, employees and trade unions, families of Kazakhmys Corporation employees, which lost breadwinners in the industrial accident, will be paid a one-time payment in the amount of average salaries for 10 years, the statements reads. In addition, minor members of the families of deceased employees will receive monthly compensation for damage to their adult age. According to the company, the survivor of the accident Chief Geologist of BalkhashTsvetMet Assem Shayakhmetova will also receive compensation, the amount of which will be determined after the end of treatment and rehabilitation. The company will cover expenses for the course of treatment and rehabilitation. In addition, she will be paid a monthly allowance of 750 thousand tenge during the course of treatment and rehabilitation. Recall that January 20, 2015 AN-2 plane crashed in Shusk district of Zhambyl region. It took off from Balkhash town and was heading towards Shaturkul mine. 7 people were onboard - four of the mining company's staff and three of the crew. Three crew members and three passengers were discovered dead, and one women (born in 1986) - Chief Geologist of BakhashTsvetMet Operating Department Assem Shayakhmetova - was found alive, but in a very severe condition. She was taken to a hospital in nearby Shu town with a pelvic fracture, broken legs and ribs, multiple injuries and a brain concussion. Later she was airlifted to Astana. Fog may have been the cause of the tragic accident, according to the Emergencies Committee of Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry. The plane was approaching to land in poor visibility and collided with the ground. A special commission was created to investigate the accident.
