Kazakhfilm starts shooting ‘Kazakh Eli’ movie

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - "Kazakhfilm" Studio named after Shaken Aimanov started shooting a large-scale historical TV serial "Kazakh Eli", which is included in the concept of celebrating the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.

During a press conference held in Almaty president of Kazakhfilm Bakhyt Kairbekov noted that the project, initiated by the Head of State, is unique in its significance. Patriotic education and civic formation of Kazakh youth in modern conditions are of particular importance. "The movie tells about the infanthood of the Kazakh Khanate - the time when the vast Eurasian continent was inhabited by different tribes of nomads who were united by sultans Zhanibek and Kerey. The movie also tells about sons of Zhanibek and Kerey - Kasim Khan and Burunduk," said the first vice-president of the studio Arman Asenov. Filming will take place in Almaty region. The film will be shot in the Kazakh language but in the future it will be translated into Russian and other languages. The premier is scheduled for December 16 - Independence Day of Kazakhstan, said B.Kairbekov.
