Kazakh student’s body deceased in Phuket road accident delivered to Kazakhstan - MFA

ASTANA. May 11. KAZINFORM – The body of Bekbolat Zhienbayev, the Kazakhstani student of Malaysian university, who was deceased in Phuket road accident, has already been delivered to Kazakhstan; it has been said today to the "Kazinform" correspondent by Nurzhan Aytmahanov, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"As previously reported, on May 8 the citizen of Kazakhstan Zhienbayev Bekbolat Daniyarovich came with friends to Thailand, namely the island of Phuket. On the evening of the same day riding a motorcycle Bekbolat fell down and got a strong head injury resulting in death the same night. The reason was the strong head injury and bleeding. That was immediately reported to the Kazakh Embassy in Thailand which in turn informed the student’s parents. The parents insisted on immediate delivery of the body to Kazakhstan. In this connection, the Embassy arranged and executed all the necessary documents and on May 10 the body was transported to Kazakhstan", the spokesman of the Ministry said.

According to N.Aytmahanov alcohol was not detected in the blood of the deceased. At the time of accident B. Zhienbayev was not wearing a helmet.

Bekbolat Zhienbayev was a native of South Kazakhstan region. He studied in one of Malaysian universities. At the moment diplomats specify the university and the course the lost took.

Also, the Foreign Ministry spokesman noted that parents paid the body transportation although the budget program provides such kind of assistance in cases of force majeure.

"It takes time but the parents insisted on the urgency", said N.Aytmahanov.
