Kazakh sportsmen won 2 silver, 3 bronze at Asian Games over weekend

BEIJING-GUANGZHOU. November 22. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Sportsmen from Kazakhstan won two silver medals and three bronze ones in Greco-Roman wrestling and fencing during the last two days at Asian Games in Guangzhou.

Kazakhstani Darkhan Bayakhmetov in the men's 66kg greco-roman wrestling match lost to Saeid Abdvali from Iran and won 'silver'.

Kazakhstan's epee fencers Alexander Aksenov, Elmir Alimzhanov, Sergey Shabalinand Dmitri Gryaznov also have silver medals losing to the team from South Korea with 31:45 final score.

Kazakh female fencers Yuliya Zhivitsa, Tamara Pochekutova, Anastasiya Gimatdinova and Aliya Bekturganova won bronze medals in Guangzhou.

Marat Karishalov in the men's 55kg greco-roman wrestling match won 'bronze' with the victory over Hamid Soryan Reihanpour - 3:0.

Kazakh national synchronized swimming team scored 85.375 points and won bronze medals behind Japan and China.

Kazakhstan is now ranked 11th. It has 36 medals: 4 gold, 11 silver and 21 bronze medals. China is first having 287 medals, including 146 gold ones. South Korea is second (162-55) and Japan is third (145-30).
