Kazakh school students win medals at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

ASTANA. May 8. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Kazakh school students returned from the XXVII Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO) which was held in Chisinau (Moldova) on May 2-8 with medals. Kazinform has learnt from the Daryn Center.

Nursultan Khadzhimukanov (Taldykorgan) won a gold medal.

Azamat Dyussenbayev (Almaty), Medet Zhanbolatuly (Almaty), and Kanat Satylkhanov (Taldykorgan) were awarded with silver medals. Nurlan Kanalin (Ust-Kamenogorsk) and Denis Ovchinnikov (Almaty) - bronze ones.

The Balkan Mathematical Olympiad is one of the most prestigious intellectual, scientific competitions. 20 more countries took part in the Olympiad.
