Kazakh Railways Company, China's Railways Minister signed agreement

ASTANA. January 19. KAZINFORM. /Zhanna Korkitova/ Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Company and China's Minister of Railways reached an agreement on bilateral cooperation for 2011. The document was signed during a two-day working visit of Kazakh delegation of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Company led by its president Askar Mamin to the People's Republic of China.

The trip programme envisaged meetings with Minister of Railways Liu Zhijun, heads of construction, project and design organizations to discuss urgent issues of bilateral relations for 2011 and further perspectives, the company's press release reads.

The parties agreed to speed up development of the trans-border railways draft agreement on opening of the second check-point and holding of a meeting of experts in the first quarter of 2011.

Following the results of the visit president of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Company and Minister of Railways of China signed a joint protocol on implementation of the plans shaped.
