Kazakh President arrives in Belgium

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in the Kingdom of Belgium for a working visit.

The President is expected to meet with the authorities of the Kingdom and the European Commission. President Nazarbayev paid four visits to Belgium since the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the two nations. The commodity turnover between the two countries increased by 9,6% in 2013 to reach USD 365 mln. In January-June 2014 the sales grew by 33% against the same period of 2013 to make USD 198 mln. The volume of direct investments into Kazakhstan made USD 2,8 bln over the period of 1993-2013 that makes Belgium the 8th largest investor into Kazakhstani economy.
