Kazakh President accepted resignation of Defence Minister

ASTANA. KAZINFORM At today's meeting with the key personnel of the country's Defence Ministry in Astana, Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev said that he has accepted resignation of Defence Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov in accordance with the papers sent in.

Besides, the President introduced Imangali Tasmagambetov as a new Defence Minister to the staff, the Akorda press service said. The President said that the Defence Ministry is the key part of the public administration system of the country and drew attention to the need of further defence improvement.
