Kazakh Health Minister held working meeting in Akmola region

TANA. July 26. KAZINFORM Kazakh Health Minister Salidat Kairbekova held a meeting with medics of Akmola region to discuss the progress of implementing the state program "Salamatty Kazakhstan" and introduction of Unified National Healthcare System; the press service of Health Ministry told Kazinform.

It was noted that 36 health care providers, including inpatient and outpatient clinics are registered in the region. The first results of the Unified National Healthcare System functioning clearly showed that the system is fully patient-oriented. Due to the principle of free choice of medical organizations people have got increased access to medical care. Tertiary care is introduced in two hospitals of Kokshetau city.

The second stage of the Unified National Healthcare System, which was started this year, is aimed at expanding screening programs, introducing additional nursing staff, introducing community-oriented primary care, developing mobile medicine.
