 ASTANA. April 4. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy on cooperation with the Jordanian World Affairs Council held a round table entitled "Kazakhstan in the XXI century" in the capital city of Jordan, Amman.

The meeting was attended by prominent figures in the Jordanian society, the former members of the Government, ministers, parliamentarians, heads of diplomatic missions, government officials and business circles.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan Bulat Sarsenbayev made a long report covering the objectives and main provisions of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's state-of-the-nation address. He also highlighted such important topics as the history of the formation of Kazakhstan's diplomacy, objectives and main directions of multi-vector foreign policy, the key strategic priorities, collaboration with leading international organizations, the chairmanship of the OSCE, SCO, OIC, Kazakhstan's foreign policy and integration initiatives, the CICA. 

In addition, he told about the integration of the Eurasian Union, the Customs Union between Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, ethno-confessional model, the main achievements of the country, such as forced industrial-innovative development and its future, the policy of Kazakhstan in the sphere of disarmament and nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction, preparation for the 2017 EXPO in Astana, etc.

President of the World Affairs Council, former Prime Minister, Abdul Salam al-Majali noted the rapidly developing multilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Jordan.
