Kazakh Environment Minister takes part in Tbilisi+35 Conference

ASTANA. September 7. KAZINFORM Nurlan Kapparov, Minister of the Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the opening of the Intergovernmental Conference Tbilisi+35: Environmental Education for Sustainable Development organized by UNESCO and UNEP on September 6-7.

At the conference N. Kapparov reiterated Kazakhstan's interest in discussing the problems of environmental education, getting and introducing new experience and sharing the experience in development of this sphere with other countries.

Minister Kapparov reminded that at Rio+20, United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, all countries voiced support to Kazakhstan's initiatives - the Green Bridge Partnership Program and the Global Energy and Ecology Strategy that offer joint mechanisms of transition to 'green' economy.

The Intergovernmental Conference Tbilisi+35 brought together more than 400 delegates from 100 countries of the world and focused on the state and prospects of environmental education.
