Kazakh Ambassador to Uzbekistan briefed the media on presidential elections

TASHKENT. KAZINFORM - Today Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Boribay Zheksembin has briefed the media representatives of the host country and foreign journalists accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the early presidential elections in Kazakhstan.

In his speech, the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission informed attendees about the initiative of the Council of the People's Assembly on holding early presidential elections in Kazakhstan. It was noted that in the context of increasing global financial and economic crisis, early elections will allow Kazakhstan to effectively implement the new economic program "Nurly Zhol" and continue the realization of long-term national development priorities identified in "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy.
