Kazakh Ambassador to Georgia presented his credentials to Mikheil Saakashvili

TBILISI. May 11. KAZINFORM – On May 10 the current year Ermukhamet Ertysbayev, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia, presented his credentials to Mikheil Saakashvili, the President of Georgia. This has been reported by the press service of the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Kazakhstan .

As part of the conversation which took place after the ceremony the Georgian leader praised the achievements of Kazakhstan under the leadership of Nursultan Nazarbayev. However, he stressed the role of the Nation's leader in the development of modern Georgia - the President of Kazakhstan "assisted in the most challenging periods of the county’s history and the Georgian people will never forget this". M.Saakashvili noted the success of the balanced foreign policy of our country pointing in particular to the effectiveness of the OSCE summit in Astana in 2010 as well as the recent negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program in the city of Almaty.

For his part E.Ertysbayev drew attention to the fact that the 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Kazakhstan and Georgia both sides have celebrated with good results. In this context the Kazakh diplomat stressed the importance of giving new momentum of expansion and deepening of the cooperation between Astana and Tbilisi in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.

The parties also noted the high potential and the positive prospects of further development of the Kazakhstani-Georgian collaboration. In conclusion the President of Georgia supported the participation of the representative delegation of Georgia in the Astana Economic Forum on May 22-24.
