Kazakh ambassador presents credentials to Canada Governor General

ASTANA. March 19. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador to Canada Konstantin Zhigalov presented credentials to Governor General of Canada David Johnston.

After the ceremony Zhigalov told David Johnston about the modern social and economic situation in Kazakhstan and measures on further development of the country outlined in the President Nazarbayev's state-of-the-nation address.

The Governor General praised Kazakhstan's efforts on nuclear nonproliferation and emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Canada on inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue.

This year the two countries mark the 20^th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
