1934 - The 1st Meeting of the Folk Art Creative Community was held in Almaty.

1998 - First President Nursultan Nazarbayev laid a capsule to the foundation of the Fatherland Defenders Monument. The monument was unveiled May 9, 2001.

1998 - Astana was internationally presented as a new capital of Kazakhstan.

2004 - The National Academic Library of Kazakhstan was officially opened.

2005 - First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, mayors of large CIS cities, representatives of community and foreign guests participated in the opening of the Chamber Hall at the Kazakh National Academy of Music.

2010 - Issyk State Museum of History and Culture was opened in Yenbekshikazakh municipality of Almaty region. The museum was opened as part of the President's Cultural Heritage programme.

2011 - At the BIE HQ in Paris, Executive Secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry Rapil Zhoshibayev announced Astana's bid to host the EXPO 2017 international specialized exhibition

2015 - Paris hosted a session of the Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme International Co-ordinating Council (MAB-ICC), where Kazakhstan's Aksu-Zhabagly Nature Reserve was included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

2017 - The Honorary Consulate of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was opened in Astana

2017 - Al-Farabi Kazakh National University ranked among Top-250 Universities of the World.

2017 - On Independence Day of Italy, opera singer of Kazakhstan Batyrzhan Smakov gave a solo concert at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano.

2018 - China hosted the Summit of Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization at the end of which the participants adopted the Qingdao Declaration. The Declaration contains 17 documents related to the cooperation between the two countries in fight with terrorism, drug trafficking, epidemics and environment pollution. Leaders of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kirgiz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan signed the document.

2018 - Kazakh team won 13 gold, 9 silver and 15 bronze medals at the World Swimming Cup in Germany held among the people with special needs.
