EVENTS

A wooden mosque was built without a single nail in the steppes the east of Kazakhstan in 1907.

In 2006, the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Dubai published an Arabic edition of the Strategy for Kazakhstan's accession to the world's top 50 competitive countries.

In 2009, First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev inked the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On the amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on private entrepreneurship issues».

In 2013, the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan officially opened its doors in Galati, Romania. It was Petru Lificiu who became the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan there.

The Technology Park was established at the premises of the Nazarbayev University in Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana) in 2014. Its total area exceeds 2,000 square meters. It carries out measurements and research in the field of renewable energy exploration.

In 2016, Karina Nazhmeddinova from Kazakhstan won the Grand Prix of International Contest «Sun of Italy».

The Tian Shan (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan) was featured into the World Heritage List at the session of the UNESCO in Istanbul in 2016. It is a large system of mountain ranges located in Central Asia.

The same day, Dinmukhamed Mailibay, a 16-year-old student of a physics and mathematics school in Almaty, won a competition to participate in the United Space School in the U.S. The school is known for training future astronauts. As part of the competition 55 schoolchildren from 23 countries of the world were chosen to join the school.

In 2018, Kazakh artist and Honorary Ambassador of the ATOM Project Karipbek Kuyukov was honored with the 2018 Nuclear-Free Future Award in Salzburg, Austria.
