IX Eurasia International Film Festival in Almaty to lift the curtain in September

ALMATY. July 12. KAZINFORM Almaty jointly with the Kazakh Government will host the IX Eurasia International Film Festival from 16-21 September 2013, Director of the Eurasia Festival Serik Zhubandykov has told Kazinform.

JSC "Kazakhfilm" named after Sh. Aimanov in association with the city's administration is responsible for the organization and running of the festival this year.

In 2012, the International Film Guide (Great Britain) featured the Eurasia International Film Festival into the world's top 35 leading film festivals. It is also worth mentioning that it is the only Kazakhstani film festival conducted in line with the regulations of the FIAPF or the International Federation of Film Producers Associations.

The Eurasia International Film Festival is usually a star-studded event. Throughout the years, the festival has welcomed many legendary actors and celerities of the film industry, namely Sigourney Weaver, Kevin Costner, Steven Seagal, Pierre Richard, Michele Placido, Catherine Deneuve, Ornella Muti, and Gerard Depardieu.
