Head of State signed a Decree "On Mayors of Astana and Almaty cities, regions"

ASTANA. April 8. KAZINFORM Нead of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has signed a Decree "On Mayors of Astana and Almaty cities, regions", the President's service reports.

In conformity with Item 5, Article 87 of the Constitution of Kazakhstan, in connection with termination of powers of Mayors of Astana and Almaty cities, regions upon assumption of office of the re-elected President, Mayors are decreed to discharge their duties until the new assignments to these positions.

The Decree becomes effective from the day of its signing.
