Head of State receives Kazatomprom board chairman Kapparov

ASTANA. ACORD - President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Board chairman of JSC "Kazatomprom" Nurlan Kapparov, the press service of Akorda informs.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that the uranium industry is one of the main industries of our country and it occupies a significant place in the world market. At the same time, Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized the need to ensure effective control over uranium mining, the importance of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation and joint projects with leading foreign companies. In turn, N.Kapparov stressed that Kazakhstan currently provides about 40% of global uranium production. Following the meeting the President gave a number of specific instructions.
