Head of State partakes in forum dedicated to 20th anniversary of People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev during his working visit to Akmola region has participated in the forum "The destiny of the country - my destiny" dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of Akorda.

Addressing the participants, the President noted the symbolism of the fact that the forum was held in Akmola region. "More than one hundred representatives of ethnic groups live in the region. In Akmola oblast operate 266 Councils of public consent. This year was declared the year of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. Therefore in Akmola region there will be held about 500 events," said the President of Kazakhstan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also discussed the dynamics of socio-economic development of the region. "The region successfully runs a program of industrial and innovative development. Last year there were launched 10 new projects. This year it is planned to put into operation another 25 projects under the Industrialization Map, which will create 2000 new jobs. 53 thousand small and medium-sized businesses operate in the region. The state supports the development of the agricultural sector. About 90% of children are involved in pre-school education. This year there will be built 4 kindergartens and 7 schools. 11 new health facilities will be constructed in Akmola region within the current year," he said. Kazakhstan's President noted that our country has all the necessary capabilities to counter manifestations of the crisis. In particular, Nursultan Nazarbayev recalled five national reforms announced at the recent XVI Congress of Nur Otan Party. Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that to implement these reforms it is needed to preserve the country's commitment to the ideas of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan - stability, friendship, tolerance and prosperity. Addressing the audience the Head of State stressed that Kazakhstan has created all necessary conditions for all-round development and quality education. Representatives of ethnic and cultural centers of the region spoke at the forum. They stressed the importance of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan as the unique social institution that unites the people of Kazakhstan.
