Galatasaray, Astana sports clubs plan to step up cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today, representatives of the Astana Presidential Professional Sports Club and Galatasaray Sports Club have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the Kazakh capital.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Astana Sports Club Darkhan Kaletayev and member of the Board of the Istanbul-based club Sedat Doğan became the signatories to the memo. Galatasaray is an internationally renowned sports club. The memorandum chiefly provides for cooperation between the FC Astana and FC Galatasaray. In addition, the Kazakh club will explore extensive Turkish experience in basketball in order to facilitate development of the Astana basketball club. Turkish partners are also expected to implement a couple of projects related to the Astana cycling team. The parties will also exchange experience in sports management. Galatasaray Sports Club is a home to field teams in basketball, volleyball, water polo, football, athletics and many more.
