Formation of intellectual nation to be discussed in Almaty

ALMATY. January 12. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ 40th Scientific and Methodical Conference "Higher Education - Strategic Resource of Intellectual Nation Formation" will take place in the Al Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty on January 15.

As is known, the idea of Kazakhstan's promotion to the community of 50 most competitive countries in the world was emphasized by the Head of the State in his lecture entitled "Kazakhstan in post-crisis world: intellectual breakthrough to the future". It consists of a number of strategic priorities including the most important one - the formation of intellectual nation.

The intellectual nation formation is impossible without active participation of national universities in preparation of competitive manpower for the country's economy. To address this issue the experts of the Al Farabi University started development of a brand new approach to the organization of educational process aimed at forming favorable conditions for creative activity of students.

The conference will include roundtables on the issues of Kazakhstan's joining the Bologna Process, introduction of credit system of education and presentation of new educational technologies.
