Foreign Ministers' Council to debate CICA transformation

ASTANA. April 23. KAZINFORM "The  Foreign Ministers' Council will focus this autumn on the CICA transformation into a full-fledged organization," Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov said today in Astana addressing the Governmental Hour.

"This we mark the 20th anniversary since implementation of the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan - Leader of the Nation on the convocation of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)  that unites 24 countries with the population above 3 bln people. Today the CICA approached the new level of cooperation which supposes a transition to a more efficient form of its participation in the system of modern international relations in Eurasia and globally," he added.

After the discussions it is planned to place the draft decision on the agenda of the 4^th CICA Summit in 2014.
